In 1999, 34 Canadian Brigade Group implemented a program for reception, support, and follow up of CF members returning from international missions.
34 Canadian Brigade Group believes that CF members are its most precious resource, and is committed to reintegrating members returning from international missions. The Reception and Reintegration Program was born from this commitment. The program’s goal is to identify the training needs and the most effective training methods for each member.
In addition, the Reception and Reintegration Program provides families with support and resources during deployment. This support is tailored to individual needs.
, the individual follow-up begins at this time. This follow-up helps to evaluate the member's actual needs. A document, Annex K, will be handed to the individual so that he can complete the check-list for redeployment.
, this meeting is carried out by the members of the return strategy committee. Each member must be met separately so that he may describe his experience and identify problems and difficulties which may have surfaced or are detectable. His pair aidant must contact the member's family in order to obtain information on how well he is integrating with the family.
, a new meeting is held to assess the member’s level of integration into regular civilian and military life and to identify new needs. The document (Annex K) is return once completed.
, a meeting is held for the same purpose as the previous one, and is also to assess whether or not all needs have been met and whether or not follow-up may cease. Supplementary sheet (French only)
Annex K (Sheet Audit redeployment) (French only)
