Chief Warrant Officer R.A. Deslauriers joined the Land Forces Reserves on April 24th, 1990 with the Régiment de Maisonneuve.
He has held many different positions within "A" Company at the regiment. He was a rifleman with the 2eR22R during OPERATION SALON in Chateauguay in 1990. CWO Deslauriers also participated as a Platoon 2ic during OPERATION RECUPERATION in 1998 in Rougemont and St-Hyacinthe, this time with his own regiment.
In November of 1998 he began working at the Training and Support centre of 34 CBG. In 2000 he was in the standards cell where he was responsible for specialization and trade training as well as leadership courses within the brigade. In January of 2006 he joined the newly formed Joint Task Force East as the senior officer of the watch. In April 2007 he was named as Headquarters Sergeant Major for the Québec area. In Jun 2010 he was named as Employment Equity for the Land Forces Quebec Area.
His military qualifications are extensive, including reconnaissance, basic communications, machine gunner, driver wheel, driver examiner, unit environmental officer, unit NBC officer, instruction supervisor
